Terms of service

A plain-language draft. It says what we intend; a lawyer has not yet reviewed it, and the reviewed version will replace it.

1. What ProductTex is

ProductTex runs simulated participants — software personas, not real people — through websites you control, in a real browser, and reports what they did and said. We call each order a study.

2. You must control the site

You may only order studies on sites you own or are authorised to test. Before any study runs you must prove control of the domain (a file, a meta tag or a DNS record) and agree to this statement, word for word, for that domain:

I control [your domain] and I authorize ProductTex to drive simulated visitor traffic against it. I understand simulated users may click, type, and submit forms, and that ProductTex is not liable for effects of that traffic on my site or its data.

We record the statement and when you agreed to it. Simulated participants may submit forms, create accounts, or trigger emails and other effects on your site. Point a study at a staging copy, or give us a test account, if that matters to you.

3. Studies are simulations, not predictions

Reports describe what simulated participants did. They are not measurements of your real visitors and not forecasts of your conversion or revenue. Simulated participants behave differently from people — among other things, they click more. We state each study's limits in the report; please read them. We make no promise that acting on a report will change any business result.

4. Credits, payment and refunds

  • Studies are paid for with credits. Credits are bought through Stripe; prices are on the pricing page.
  • A study's price is debited when you submit it.
  • If a study refuses to run (for example, the audience cannot be drawn or a pre-flight check fails) or fails on our side, the full price is returned to your balance.
  • The first Quick read on a verified domain is free, one per account.
  • Continuous is billed monthly and credits the stated amount each month. You can cancel at any time from your dashboard (it opens Stripe's billing page); it stops at the end of the month already paid, and credits already added stay on your balance.

5. Acceptable use

You may not:

  • run a study against a site you do not control or are not authorised to test;
  • use studies to load-test, attack, scrape, or disrupt any site;
  • publish, quote or present simulated participants' responses as those of real people, or as survey or population data;
  • share your API key outside your organisation, or resell access without our written agreement.

We may pause or refuse studies, and suspend accounts, that break these rules.

6. Your data and your reports

Reports and the screenshots in them are yours to use inside your organisation and to share as you choose, provided you describe the participants as simulated. Report links carry an access token; anyone you give a link to can read that report. How we handle data is in the privacy notice.

7. Our limits

We provide the service as it is. We are not liable for effects of simulated traffic on your site or its data, or for decisions made from a report, to the extent the law allows. [Liability cap and governing law to be set in legal review.]
